  1. I like this game a lot. It has a unique setting and feel. The story is little convoluted but I found it interesting nevertheless. The music is great too for the most part. The only real downer is the final boss who fucking refuses to die. I hit him like 100+ times and just hit the power button. Thankfully in the Sega version he has less HP.

  2. Man, I really liked this game! I liked Exile 2 better, but still, this one was good. Talking about RPGs, have you ever done a vid on any Cosmic Fantasy title? This series was probably one of the funniest series ever…. Damn I miss those games 🙂

  3. Got Unsubbed by the YouTube purge, was just thinking about your channels when someone said someone needed to cover more turbografx games lol. Glad to see you're still at it.

  4. Bah, this video got lost in my subscription updates. Great review of a cool game! It's too bad the Working Designs localization of Exile: Wicked Phenomenon had the difficulty glitched to ridiculous levels at the last moment as that game would have been a massive classic of the platform otherwise.

  5. A fantastic review of one of my favorite games! I Beat the Genesis version in 2 hours with my first playthrough. Is the ending in the TG16 version confusing like the Genesis version or did it make more sense?

  6. HI CHRIS ! GREAT REVIEW AS ALWAYS ! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ONE FOR A LONG TIME ! I RECENTLY PLAYED THROUGH THIS GAME AND BEYOND SHADOWGATE ! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, IT'S STILL FUN AS EVER TO PLAY THESE AWESOME TURBO GAMES ! LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR NEXT REVIEW ! YOU'RE THE BEST !

  7. Is there a difference between the Genesis version and Turbo CD version in regards to difficulty? I remember the Genesis version being tough, but I was young at the time and didn't do extra leveling up much.

  8. Excellent review as always. Very heavy with religious themes. You do need the manual for this game to know what's what. I used to hold down the attack button with a rubber band in the ifrst area and kill off the dragonflies one by one and leave my room. I would come back around 30 minutes or so later to see that my HP were maxed out. Rarely did I use magic and the only time I ever used tonics was during the battle with Shimbatha.
