  1. Great game, but in my opinion this game becomes to much of a grind when you reach high rank. And that's obviously the part that most people like about this game, but for me this grind isn't that much fun. Maybey because hunts can take ages and it's basicly hammering and slashing the heck out of the monsters while hoping the next hit will kill them. And ofcourse the fact that the game forces you to grind if you want to progress in the story. Eitherway it's not a bad game, but it's definitly not for everyone.

  2. As far as I am concerned ACG is the best reviewer in the business but I also always like asking others when considering buying a new game (since I am poor as dirt). So talk to me my fellow gamers, worth it?

  3. Great review as always. This game is great. It didnt look like my type of game at first, but I was wrong. It is a very addictive game. There isnt too much story and there is a lot of grinding, but it is well worth it. If you like Dark Souls or Dragons Dogma, then get this game! You wont regret it. Best game I have played in a very long time.

  4. This game blows. Mechanics suck. 1 shot suck. Battles suck. Monsters look cool. Lots of weapons. I mean the game is very nice looking but other than that playing it was glad I didn't pay 60 for this garbage.

  5. I dare you to play this on xbox and try to tell me it's good. Notice how every video you see about this game reviewed, it's going to be on ps4. It looks terrible and the controls are terrible on xbox. It looks like an xbox 360 game on xbox one.

  6. For you guys that love to just enjoy yourself,i wanted to add that there is an expedition mode, basically hunts in zones without a timer so you can enjoy yourself there, explore, fight, infinit lives, farm, fish or discovering new stuff, keep in my you can"t use this trick to cheese monsters since they will run away/cycle out of the map after about 40ish minutes,so you can't just kill let's say the big T-rex at the start of the game because you have an infinit number of carts.

  7. I'm really not sure why so many people seem to like this game. Maybe it's because the beta sucked ass, but I really thought it was hot garbage and was so REALLY boring AND nothing new or fresh at all. Every few feet it seem like I was stopping to check a track or some sort of marking a monster made just to walk a few more feet to find another, what kind of fun is that? I think it says a lot that when I played Monster Hunter Ultimate that I felt like it was a pretty good game for What Little I got to play of it. Fast forward to this one and it's a whole different experience that felt a million times worse. So the question stays the same, is the actual game radically different from that piss poor beta?

  8. Rent this game first .. graphics are awesome.. monsters are awesome.. controller setup is f$#@+$# S$#@ sorry controller setup is very bad. I tried to, put 30 hours in it just got tired of learning a whole new setup my opinion is rent it first it's not gonna be for everyone..

  9. To be fair. Multiplayer, specifically with a LAN based friend sucks. Load times, having to watch cut scenes before joining a mission..most of it is complicated and meh. Combat is ok, though easy and extremely repetitive. You compare Diablo but don't include constant loot upgrades and randomness of dungeons. I played 10 hours today without any real motivation for upgrade, either on me or my Palico.

Monsters are typically in the same locations. A few wander on standard loops but over all it is basically do the exact same thing. Complete. Do it again…complete. I love farming games, I do..but good ones offer variety and randomization. This lacks both.

It is an ok game..but to be fair it is lacking over all compared to what it could be. There is little to no drive to sink hours into it, which is sad. It should feel like you can't put it down, instead it feels like "Why pick it up?"

  10. Never played a Monster Hunter game but this looks really good. Does the Movement and combat work sort of like Dragons Dogma? I really enjoyed that game. I also do love games that have awesome loot! I do dislike having a timer but if it’s a reasonable timer then I’m okay with that.

  11. I really tried this game, i mean I REALLY tried. It just doesnt cut it. Too much fo the same thing over and over, graphics are good but gameplay is boring and repetitive. The weapons are very complicated and the actual fighting is stupid hard. It makes no sense, you cannot turn while swinging a sword. Not for everyone for sure.
